On drilling of horizontal wells in long-term developed fields (the case of Binagady field)
E.M. AzizovThere are fields in Azerbaijan developed either onshore or offshore, characterized with geological-field conditions favorable for successful drilling and operation of horizontal wells. Horizontal wells were generally drilled in offshore fields such as Azeri, Chirag, Gunashly. Recently the drilling of horizontal wells in long-term developed fields of Absheron oil and gas bearing region has increased. One of them is the well No 2813, drilled in Binagady field. With the aim of intensification and increase of oil recovery factor in analogical fields, it is recommended to conduct the drilling of this type of wells.
