Effective pipeline maintenance is inextricably associated with the temperature adjustment of the coolant in the pipe and the processes of heat transfer through the pipe wall. Provision of necessary thermal insulation of the pipeline is preferable than intervention in the scheduled heat control of the pipeline contents. The algorithm of calculation of insulating layer thickness from the selected material under predetermined temperature of the coolant considering gas release in the pipeline and on the outer wall of the insulating layer is provided. Conditions of efficient design of heat-insulated material are revealed by calculation of the insulated layer thickness of thermal parameters of the gas layer.
