The paper presents the main results of study on obtainment of diesel fraction by hydrogenation of heavy petroleum residues under low pressure in the presence of suspended catalysts. It is shown that after hydrotreаtment of diesel fraction the amount of sulfur decreases twice, the content of unsaturated hydrocarbons decreases from 0.5 % to 0.006%, iodine number from 26 g I2/ /100 g to 0.07 g I 2/100 g. Cetane number increases from 32.8 to 43.4 p.
