The article focuses on pilot studies conducted in laboratory and field conditions in the development of silicate drilling mud and cement slurries. It was justified that the salt aluminum flakes compared to sodium and potassium silicates in tribotehnological properties allow adjusting the filter cover. It was also defined that the additives of studied salt enable to adjust the setting and thickening time, the density of cement slurries. A new composition of the buffer fluid was developed to separate drilling mud and cement slurries.
