Displacement of residual oil from watered reservoir via new composition

The article presents the results of an experimental study on displacement of residual oil in the reservoir after flooding via newly developed composition consisting of polymers from refinery wastes on the model of formation cell with five-point position for wells. The studies have found the optimum concentration of waste (5 %) and the polymer (0.5 %) in fresh water. The conducted experiments showed that injection of composition into flooded formation enabled to extract 18 % of residual oil. The application of the composition in the form of a bank led to additional 15 % obtaining of oil. Taking into consideration the lack of fresh water in oil fields, in order to extract more oil from the flooded reservoir it is recommended to apply the composition in the form of a bank.
