Fuel oil - valuable fuel which is applied in the stationary steam boilers, in the industry stoves, as well as in the heavy oil fuel capacity in the ship energetic settings and in the power plant. In 2006 in Azerbaijan SOCAR produced 7.6 mln. ton of crude oil, 2.9 mln. of which is fuel oil, approximately 38.3% of the produced oil. In 2007 was produced 7.6 mln. ton of oil and 2.8 mln tone of fuel oil. Goal of the research is to analyze fuel oil physico-chemical properties, produced by Baku OIP “AZerneftyag” as the initial and as compounds with various oil wastes; alkalinity wastes from the cleaning of kerosene, gas oil, solar and light oil distillates and technical oil acids. Results of the research show that after the addition of the naphthenic acid to it, fuel oil from the Azerbaijanian oil has the high temperature of the combustion and low temperature of the solidification taking into consideration low-sulphur and low-paraffinicity and as well as is rich with naphthenic carbon. It is determined that in case of the addition of the above stated components to 2.0% to fuel oil M-40 the extent of the low temperature of the combustion maintained practically stable. It regards so that oil acids and alkalinity wastes contains oxycompound which positively influence on the stability of the combustion of the mixtures. It is recommended that fuel oil is the valuable crude and fuel, therefore it shall be used for the strategic directions rationally and profitably.
