Investigation of the composite type SAS surface activities synthesized from crude oil acids
S.E.AbdullayevThe derivatives of the crude oil acids are widely used in different fields of oil exploration and production. The corrosion inhibitors, emulators, bactericides, fire-frothers, and etc. could be an example of these acids. Taking into consideration that Azerbaijan is the oil and gas producing and refining country, it is very important to pay attention to the development of high-quality fire-frothers, which have not been produced in the country yet. Therefore, this paper is dedicated to the research of foam forming composite surface active substance (SAS) synthesized based on salts and alkamine complexes of crude oil acids. For this purpose, it was essential to investigate the surface activity of water soluble salts and alkamine complexes of crude oil acids. First of all, the surface tensions of the compounds were investigated. For researches, the aqueous solutions were prepared in the range of 0.1% - 6%. The results showed that all compounds reduce the surface tension. For example, the showings for 1% solution of mono, duo and tri ethanolamine complexes were 16.1, 17 and 24.2, and for 6% solution of the same complexes were 2.4, 5.26 and 8.6 accordingly. The sodium salts of the crude oil acids showed the best results among the investigated salts. During the researches it was found that the foam forming abilities of these compounds directly related with the surface tensions of the same compounds. The mono ethanolamine showed the best results among the investigated alkamine complexes. Increasing the mole ratio of alkamine to acid improved the results. For example, when the mole ratio of crude oil acids to mono ethanolamine was 1:1, foam forming factor increased for 6 times, but when the ratio was 2:1 the foam forming factor changed from 6 to 7.5 times. Composition of the mono ethanolamine complex with the crude oil acids sodium salts improve the solubility of the frother. By this, they don’t the composition quality which is very important factor.
