About drilling wastes disposal
E.T. NurpeisovOne of the main problems that oil companies face while planning or drilling wells is environmental protection of the surraunding area. Negative impact rate of drilling wastes on ecosystem mostly depends on chemical composition of drilled cuttings and used drilling fluids, presence of heavy metalls and active chemical bonds. Results of chemical composition analyses of the samples taken from the waste disposal site, comparison of actual and maximum allowable concentration, negative issues regarding waste disposal pits usage are described in the article. Many scientific researches dedicated to drilling technology based on “zero discharge” principles, enviromentaly safe waste utilization and enviromental monitoring execution. When we say utilization, that includs all related operations like waste segregation, transportation, treatment, usage ant etc. Main steps within utilization process are part of the enviroment monitoring. This kind of monitoring considered as a complex system of observations for anthropogenic and natural influence sources, enviroment conditions, its possible changes, future forecast and management. Thus, results of numerous researches and its analysis testifies absence of single utilization approach for all kind of wastes. That stipulates necessity of elaboration of scientific basis for decision-making and implementation processes for environmentally safe drilling wastes utilization.
