Investigations of new inhibitors against wax deposition

G.M.Gafarova

Wax deposition in oil equipment is one of the critical problems in oil field development. Efficiency of the methods used against wax deposition in the course of oil production via natural resources is described. Conventional method used against wax deposition involves treatment of waxy oil with reagent-kaolin. These reagents under the action of formation factors in particular pressure and temperature form clathrate compounds. Reagent is adsorbed on the surface of wax particles within the crude oil composition, weakens their accumulation and prevents their deposition on the surface of equipment. Obtained effect was the following: injection of castrate compound before formation of waxy crystals reduces hydraulic resistance of waxy oil flow and as a result intensity of wax formation decreases and well overhaul period increases.
