About reliability of catching tools

The indicators of tool and details reliability have the practical value as the fatigue failures have probable character. The different catching tools are used widely in the oil industry. These tools are used in the oil wells put various operations and to eliminate failures. The catching tools are run into well by tubing strings or cable techniques. Among them especially often the auto catchers are applied to connect sucker - rod pump plunger with pump rods column. Reliability of auto-catchers is very important technological indicator. The catching tools are loaded either static or dynamic loadings. Sleeves are the basic parts of this tool. Under operation these sleeves are loaded by opposite directed loadings and they are in the stress state and are exposed fatigue failures. It leads to hard accidents. Therefore prevention accidents and time determination of the reliable operation of catching tools is the actual problem. In paper catching tools reliability parameters is defined on the basis of the statistical data. As a result of the calculations the density of refusal of probability of non-failure operation also sleeves reliability of the deep pump auto-catches is established. In the paper the reliability of auto catchers - rod catchers is defined on the basis of the field data. As a result of researches it was determined that auto catchers function is 140 days depending on dynamic parameters of reversing machine, depth of dissent and pump diameter. For increase operating reliability of these tools it is necessary to choose correctly materials and design.
