Possible resources of Gobustan fields and oil shale appearances

Via conducted during recent years investigation were discovered about 60 appearances and oil shale fields in Gobustan. While their probable reserves calculation were taken into consideration laboratory analysis results, physical-chemical and technological properties of studied shales, observed thickness, width and length of shale-bearing layers on the ground surface. Besides, depending on reviewed structures character were determined bed dip angle with estimation their underground lasting. Total possible reserves of oil shales are 430-450 mln.t.
