Influence of structural-tectonic factors on formation and prospectiveness of non-anticline traps

The article discusses the influence of structural-tectonic aspects on the formation, distribution and prospects of oil and gas potential of non-structural traps in the oil and gas regions of Azerbaijan. For this, the surfaces of the Baikal basement, Mesozoic and Maikop deposits of the region were modeled and analyzed.
Modeling revealed a submeridional uplift, i.e. a positive tectonic element between the Kura and South Caspian basins began to develop in Maykop. This strongly influenced folding and especially the formation of non-structural traps in the region. As a result of the analyzes carried out, the geotectonic features of the formation of non-structural traps were substantiated, on the basis of which an appropriate map of their distribution was compiled and the prospects of deposits formed in these traps were assessed.
