Study of thermal stability of monoalkyl (С8-С12) phenol formaldehydes functionalized with imidazolines based on fatty acids of palm oil and polyamines

Sc. - Institute for PetrochemicalThe article provides information about thermogravimetric and differential thermal analysis of monoalkyl (C8-C12) phenolformaldehyde oligomers functionalized with imidazolines obtained at different molar ratios of polyethylenepolyamines and their low-boiling fractions – diethylenetriamine, triethylenetetramine with a mixture of fatty acids of palm oil. It was established that thermal stability of monoalkyl (C8-C12) FFO modified by imidazolins is higher than that of an unmodified oligomer. The multi-stage destruction of the synthesized nitrogen-containing oligomers is explained by their complex structure, and the article also describes possible decay processes in individual stages.
