New local inhibitor of gas hydrates on the basis of glycols
A. H. BagirovIn the article use of new local inhibitor made on the basis of glycols is offered to reduce gas hydrates made during gas extraction, preparation for transport and transportation. Newly-developed composition of hydrate inhibitor consists of di-propylene glycol (DPG), propylene glycol (PG), and aqueous solutions of SAS. This inhibitor possesses the following properties: density (at 20 оC) 1030 - 1040 kg/m3; viscosity (at 20 оC) 40 42 mmІ2/S; temperature of boiling 140.0 - 150.0 оC; hardening temperature (for 50 % of solution) (+20.3) (-22.1) оC; foaming doesnt occur; dissolution in a condensate (for 80 % - solutions) 0.052 %; the decrease limit in temperature of hydrate formation (for 50 % - solutions) 1112 оC; duration of decomposition emulsion with a condensate at 20 оC 0.5 0.6 minutes. The composition of hydrate inhibitor is cheaper than methanol. The inhibitor has been tested on the industry and the obtained results are satisfactory.
