Problems of sorbents using for gathering oil products at emergency conditions

J.N. Gahramanly

The survey material on sorbents using for gathering oil products from water and earth surface at emergency conditions is submitted in this article. The analysis of the problem confirms unambiguously the expansion of use of organic and inorganic sorbents. Besides, such characteristics of sorbents as the specific absorbing capacity, outward density of sorbents, opportunity of the sorbent regeneration, ordinary use technology and also their cost take on important significance. It is known from the indicated material that products got by being used of waste products (a straw, a husk of buckwheat and rice, fibres of wood, sawdust, leaves and etc.) in agricultural manufacture at 250 500 C temperature can be used as sorbents. It is possible to produce a complex sorbent by using advantages of a fibrous sorbent and powder thermally extended graphite (TEG).The introduction of the TEG in structure of a fibrous sorbent promotes increase of the oil absorbing capacity on 25 %. It is indicated that foamed polymeric sorbents has high absorbing capacity against oil and oil products and it can be regenerated in process centrifugation repeatedly. Influence of the outward density and foamed polymer macrostructure on kinetic laws of sorption of the oil and oil waste from a water and earth surface are submitted. In the review the certain attention is given to separation of oil products from wastewater, by use of two types of adsorbents fibrous hydrophobic, the activated natural and synthetic materials, and also, ultradisperse powder adsorbents on a basis of the oxide hydroxide phases of aluminium.
