Application of nanotechnology in oil branch

The article deals with nanotechnology achievements in the field of drilling. The basic directions of nanotechnology development in this area of the oil industry are defined: designing nano-fluids for the increasingly demanding conditions of high temperature and pressure for deep drilling and horizontal wells, reduction of friction forces and metal corrosion, creation of new materials for the chisel equipment, creation of midget and supersensitive gauges for measurements while drilling.
